I used to have Autoimmune Hepatitis. Fortunately due to the fact that my sister and 5 of my neighbors (not related) had also been diagnosed with AH around the same time. Therefore I couldn’t simply blame my failing liver on genetics. After 6 months of research I narrowed down about ten compounds which I believed were possible triggers of the disease. After tracking down someone willing to listen to my “wild theories” I found a toxicologist and a member from the EPA with open minds. What they found is that my water utility refused to submit their test results regarding those specific chemicals. Furthermore I discovered that several businesses along the river had a history “leaking” their industrial effluents into our small towns water supply. Long story short I stopped drinking tap water and no longer have Autoimmune Hepatitis.

More and more I see the word Environment becoming part of the media's spotlight. Someday we'll be heard
